What the company builds

Totum Tech is developing software-controlled heated gloves for people with Raynaud's disease and for those whose hands get cold again and again. The company calls its product Libero. The gloves learn the wearer's sensitivity to cold and heat up on their own. A mobile app goes with them and allows personalized tracking.

In Raynaud's disease, the small blood vessels in the fingers and toes overreact to cold or stress. Circulation drops temporarily and the skin changes colour. Episodes are painful and are triggered by contact with cold or by stress. Totum Tech places its product ahead of the episode.

The product

The team is designing a glove that measures temperature, learns the person's sensitivity to cold, and applies targeted heat before the episode. A mobile app is connected to the glove and keeps the tracking. The person keeps the choice of when to wear the glove; the software handles when the heat comes on and how much.

What it changes in practice

  • Heat arrives before the episode, because the glove tracks the person's temperature and sensitivity to cold.
  • Setting the heat level by hand goes away, because the glove decides it on its own.
  • Tracking becomes personalized, because the mobile app is connected to the glove.

Cold hands are over!
