WINDO cleans the exterior windows of five- to twenty-storey buildings by drone. The service is for commercial building managers and real estate developers, starting in Canada. It replaces facade maintenance methods that require sending a person down the side of the building.

Today, washing a glass facade means suspending crews at height. The work carries a risk for people, the job is expensive, and the products used raise an environmental issue. The denser the city gets, the more facades need maintaining this way.

The product

The team is designing a cleaning drone and the service model that goes with it. The device adapts to different types of surfaces and works from outside, with no one suspended on the facade. The manager stays in control of the maintenance schedule; the drone carries out the pass.
