Zensor Care proposes a discreet and non-intrusive monitoring device to ensure the safety and independence of people living alone. Thanks to intelligent sensors connected to an application, in case of lack of activity, an alert is sent via the application.

"The ultimate device for peace of mind."

Case Study

Zensor Technologies is a startup dedicated to improving the safety and well-being of people living alone, particularly elderly individuals. Using passive and non-intrusive motion sensors, Zensor ensures discreet monitoring to detect anomalies in the daily activity of isolated individuals, without disrupting their lifestyle. Through its mobile application and artificial intelligence algorithm, loved ones can be alerted in real-time in case of problems, thus ensuring peace of mind without infringing on the independence of their relatives.

The idea for Zensor was born from a personal experience, where the founder became aware of the limitations of alert systems requiring intervention from the person in case of problems. This experience led to the design of discrete and autonomous sensors, designed to integrate harmoniously into the daily lives of monitored individuals.

Problem

People living alone, particularly seniors, are vulnerable to domestic accidents and health incidents, with no way to ask for help. Existing solutions often require the person in difficulty to activate an alert button, which can be problematic if they are unable to do so. Zensor seeks to remedy this limitation by offering a surveillance system without direct interaction, enabling proactive and discreet detection.

Solution

Zensor Technologies has developed a motion sensor device, placed in strategic locations in the home, which sends alerts when detecting abnormal activity or prolonged absence of movement. These passive sensors gather information and analyze the user's habits to detect any deviation from their usual routine. The monitored person does not need to wear any device, and their independence remains intact.

The collected data is processed by an artificial intelligence algorithm that sends notifications through an ergonomic mobile application to the person's loved ones, enabling quick reaction in case of problems. This approach minimizes risks without requiring lifestyle changes or additional mental burden for relatives.

Results

Zensor Technologies achieved several important objectives during its development phase:

  • Market validation: Through 125 interviews with the target audience, Zensor refined its product and positioning.
  • Functional prototype: A competing sensor was used to create a prototype, allowing Zensor to test and optimize its own sensor.
  • Stress reduction for family caregivers: By offering automated monitoring and real-time alerts, Zensor allows caregivers to reduce their level of anxiety and concern about the safety of their isolated relatives. This improves quality of life and family relationships, particularly for relatives often called upon to look after the elderly person.

Business Model

Zensor plans to sell its devices online and through specialized distribution channels in wellness and safety technologies for seniors. The mobile application could also include premium services, such as activity data history or detailed reports for relatives, enabling proactive monitoring and long-term tracking.

Future Perspectives

Zensor Technologies aims to become a leading player in the safety of isolated individuals, particularly seniors, by integrating next-generation sensors and expanding its detection algorithm to include more wellness data. The company also plans to expand its partnerships with care organizations to promote its technology to healthcare professionals.
